The Grant Writer is responsible for researching, writing, and submitting grant proposals to secure funding for the organization. This position will also work with other members of the development team to develop and implement grant-related strategies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Research and identify potential grant opportunities
  • Write clear, concise, and persuasive grant proposals
  • Collaborate with other members of the development team to develop and implement grant-related strategies
  • Track the progress of grant applications and report on results
  • Maintain a database of grant information

3 Shifts

  • 05:30 PM to 07:30 PM CST
  • afternoon / 01:00 PM to 03:00 PM CST
  • morning / 10:00 AM to 11:45 AM CST

Legacy Microschool is a community of middle school students in TX where teachers facilitate a bottom-up, student-centered exploration of discovery to mastery of paths that lead students to become independent contributing citizens of their community. Our goal is to ignite a passion for lifelong learning and high achieving for all students and families. Each learner will identify a passion or purpose and navigate a path to fulfilling the requirements of the chosen goal. Description

Our founder/director has 25 plus years of experience in education: K-12 Instructional and Administrative, Special Education District Administration, State Education Director, University Professor in both College of Education and College of Business, served as District Compliance Specialist wrote curriculum for education
programs. She is also a Master Day Trader who will personally design and facilitate the day trading modules.

Our Philosophy & Curriculum

Academics:We will facilitate theory to practice including but not limited to the following optional hybrid methods, programs, and tools: Edgenuity, Socratic Method, Research, Khan Academy, NEWSELA Current events and reading comprehension as well as consider curriculum requested by parents.
Career Tracks: The following program cohorts will include daily, hands-on teacher -led instruction: Discover
Your Gift/Purpose, Coding/Robotics, Cyber Security, Data Analyst/Investor/Trader and Entrepreneur.

Our School Day

The academic day will run from 9 AM - 1 PM. The Career Cohorts will study and practice from 1:30 PM - 3:30
PM. SEL will be infused throughout the school day beginning with a wellness check at the beginning of the
school day.
We will serve breakfast and lunch fand a snack. Students have the option to bring their meals.
While recommended students are not required to be present 5 days a week.
