Minnesota’s Take a Kid Fishing Weekend
Thompson County Park, West Saint Paul, MN
Dakota County Park & Recreation,Tips Outdoors, and other organizations are providing a fun family fishing and outdoor experience. Tips Outdoors is providing all fishing equipment and basic fishing education: knot tying, and casting. The kids will then fish with the Police Officers of the West St. Paul Police Department who’ll be sharing their fishing knowledge with the kids and showing them how to bait a hook to catch fish from Thompson Lake for the Minnesota "Take A Kid Fishing"Weekend!

Mission Statement
The Tips Outdoors Foundation is a 501(c)(3) Nonprofit that provides fun hands-on outdoor educational experiences for youth and families. We train and provide Certified Outdoor Mentors and volunteers who share their outdoor knowledge and skills with youth and families to connect them to the outdoors and each other building family values. Tips Outdoors supports nonprofit organizations by partnering with corporate sponsors to produce outdoor sports-related special events. The purpose of each special event is to raise funding and awareness of the nonprofit's mission and outcomes by utilizing all forms of media.

- Must be at least 18
- Please show-up at least 1hr before at 11:00am or Sooner = 10:00am, to help with set-up. Please stay at least 1hr after at = 4:00pm or Later = 5:00pm, for take-down. Total Volunteer Time = 5hrs to 7hrs.
- Be Kind, and respectful, and have a Fun Positive Experience for yourself and others. Dress for the weather, 1 meal is provided Your choice from: "Sandy's Grill" Food Truck. Bring something to drink to stay hydrated. Water should also be available.
