Seeking Trappers for Feral Cat Spay-Neuter Clinic

ORGANIZATION: Northern Colorado Friends of Ferals

  • 3 people are interested

JOB DESCRIPTION FOR TRAPPERS FOLLOWS THIS BRIEF HISTORY OF FRIENDS OF FERALS:

We are currently seeking volunteer trappers to start November 2, 2024. Trappers are sent to various locations around northern Colorado and work in pairs. Clinics are held monthly.

Northern Colorado Friends of Ferals (NCFF) is doing its part to address the problem of feral cat overpopulation in the most humane and effective way endorsed by our most respected animal welfare organizations. We have spayed, neutered and vaccinated more than 14,000 homeless cats and kittens in northern Colorado, preventing thousands of future felines from being euthanized in our shelters or struggling to survive outdoors. All at no cost to taxpayers.

Stray and feral cats are humanely trapped and transported to our Fort Collins clinic for sterilization surgery, vaccinations, and recovery. We are also capable of treating infections, wounds, and parasites. These cats receive the same standard of care as any domestic, client-owned cat. We believe that they have been through enough in their lives already and deserve the best medical care we can give them!

Mission Statement

Northern Colorado Friends of Ferals is committed to bettering the lives of community cats and reducing euthanasia in our shelters through our Trap, Neuter and Return (TNR) program, finding homes for kittens, and treating cats with medical needs.

Description

Northern Colorado Friends of Ferals was founded in February 2009 by Leslie Vogt and Jan Link. As of March 2022, our organization has altered more than 12,000 cats and kittens, partnered with rescues & foster networks to find homes for hundreds of felines, and relocated more than 200 cats to barn homes. We've been able to do it all with compassionate, dedicated volunteers and highly skilled, fantastic vets. Our aim is to serve rural and low economic areas with few resources and many cats.
