Cook and Serve is a program designed by Asha Hope Amanaki to help people serve the underserved in the community by preparing fresh food. Our aim is to provide simple dishes so that anybody can make them without having to be an expert at it! We have been delivering Freshly cooked food to community fridges in the Beaverton and Hillsboro Area since 2022 and have delivered over 2500 meals with the help of volunteers who have prepared and delivered meals around the region.
Many people lost their livelihoods during the pandemic and the current economic downturn has added to the woes of the people who were already suffering with the inflated rates. We hope you volunteer to help those in need by preparing fresh food.
What are your roles and responsibilities:
- We have narrowed down to 3 dishes (Cupcakes, Mac and Cheese and Sandwiches). Select the item you would like to prepare
- After you select the item we will prepare the list of items to buy to make them. Most of the items in one batch would be under $30.
- You can buy the items from any local store.
- Fix a date that you would deliver it by.
- We will provide a list of locations you can deliver it to that you can select from
- Prepare and deliver the food on the designated date!
