Are you passionate about exploring diverse perspectives, promoting personal growth, and inspiring transformative conversations? Join us as a volunteer host for the podcast, where we aim to delve into the depths of different viewpoints and spark meaningful discussions.
As a volunteer host, you will be part of a dynamic team, consisting of three distinct personality types that complement each other:
The Visionary: Bring your creative and innovative mindset to the table. You have a unique ability to envision possibilities and explore transformative ideas. Your role will involve introducing captivating topics, brainstorming new approaches, and inspiring guests and listeners with your imaginative thinking.
The Empathetic Listener: Your exceptional listening skills and empathy create a welcoming and inclusive environment for guests to share their stories and perspectives. You excel at understanding and connecting with others, promoting a sense of acceptance and empathy. Your role will involve actively listening to guests, asking insightful questions, and fostering deep conversations.
The Analytical Thinker: Harness your critical thinking and analytical skills to dive deep into topics and challenge assumptions. You bring a logical and rational perspective to the discussions, enriching the content with your ability to examine different viewpoints. Your role will involve analyzing information, offering logical insights, and encouraging thoughtful debates.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the podcast coordinator to plan and develop podcast episodes.
- Work closely with the podcast coordinator to identify engaging topics and guests.
- Conduct research and gather relevant information on selected topics.
- Prepare engaging questions and discussion points for guests.
- Facilitate conversations, ensuring a balanced exchange of ideas.
- Create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for guests and listeners.
- Actively listen and respond to guests, demonstrating empathy and understanding.
- Contribute your unique perspective and personality to the discussions.
- Collaborate with the podcast coordinator and editing team to ensure smooth production.
Requirements:
- Strong communication skills and the ability to engage and connect with guests and listeners.
- Passion for exploring diverse perspectives and promoting personal growth.
- Flexibility and openness to collaborate with a diverse team of hosts.
- Experience in podcasting or public speaking (preferred but not required).
- Willingness to promote the podcast on your social media platforms.

The Philosopher’s Stone Community Outreach is a registered 501(c)(3) charity founded in Newark, NJ. We empower low-income communities through essential programs. Our initiatives include The Woman First Society, supporting women; The Abundant Harvest Community Garden, addressing food insecurity; Transcendence Pathways, fostering personal growth; and The NewARK Life Initiative, promoting kindness and unity. WE ARE CURRENTLY RECRUITING UNPAID VOLUNTEERS!
