Drug and Addiction Education Program

Are you a high school or college student interested in making a difference in your community? Do you want to help educate young people about the dangers of drug use and promote healthy behaviors? If so, we invite you to join our team as a volunteer for the Youth Drug and Addiction Education Initiative (YDAEI).

YDAEI is a science-based drug and addiction education program that provides young people with the knowledge and skills to make informed decisions about substance use. Our program is designed for 4th to 9th graders and consists of two 1-hour sessions delivered one week apart at local youth organizations in San Francisco and San Mateo County. As a volunteer, you will work with trained health educators to deliver our curriculum to young people in a fun and interactive way.

As a volunteer, you will:

• Make a positive impact on your community by helping young people make informed decisions about their health and well-being
• Develop your leadership and communication skills
• Gain valuable experience working with young people and facilitating group activities
• Receive training and support from experienced facilitators

To become a volunteer, you should:

• Be a high school or college student
• Have a passion for making a positive impact in your community
• Be available to commit to at least two 1-hour sessions, delivered one week apart
• Be willing to undergo training and receive support from our experienced facilitators
