Ronald McDonald House Pasadena is seeking experienced volunteers to assist with finish carpentry, cabinet installation, electrical wiring and fixture installation, general plumbing, and painting skills for our program. We are built on the simple idea that nothing else should matter when a family is focused on their child’s health. The House provides a home-away-from-home for families with critically-ill children, keeping them close to one another, their doctors, and needed medical care. As a volunteer, you will contribute to our mission by providing your expertise in plumbing and electrical, finish carpentry and cabinet installation, and painting. You will work alongside other volunteers and staff to ensure that we offer quality repairs that meet the needs of the families staying at the house.

Preferred Time Commitment:
We prefer volunteers who can commit to 2-3 hours, 2-3 times a week for 2-6 months. This will allow us to complete the necessary repairs in a timely manner.
Physical Requirements:
This opportunity is on-site, and you will need to be able to lift up to 50 lbs. We will provide all necessary safety equipment and training to ensure that you can work safely and effectively.

The Mission of the Pasadena Ronald McDonald House is to provide housing, comfort, care and support to families with critically-ill children who are receiving medical treatment at local hospitals.
The Pasadena Ronald McDonald House has 12 bedrooms and provides lodging for families whose children are in local hospitals. Families also receive meals and support, as well as the comforting environment of living with families who are in similar circumstances. The Pasadena House has been providing services to the community since 2004, and has served over 13,000 children and families.
