We receive used, donated bicycles from individuals and organizations within our community. We need volunteers to perform those pickups. The same is true once we repair a bicycle. When one of our partner organizations requests bicycles, we need to deliver bicycles to them. Don't have a vehicle that can handle bicycles? No worries. We have a cargo van you can use to perform the necessary pickups and deliveries. Some of these trips happen during the day, while others happen after working hours. Commonly there is flexiblity with pickup and delivery times.

Mission Statement

Second Wind Bicycles is on a mission to bring the transformative power of bicycles to those who need it most - financially at-risk families, refugees, individuals in recovery, and those struggling with homelessness. Despite the prevalence of bikes, these groups are often left without access to reliable transportation. That's why we're dedicated to finding, fixing, and distributing bikes with compassion and generosity.

Description

Founded in 2021, Second Wind Bicycles is a 501c3 non-profit. We started by supplying bikes to a homeless organization and as we expanded our reach, we noticed a lack of bicycle access for those in need.

With this need in mind, we took action to fill the gap. Our dedicated group of volunteers generously give their time and skills to make a positive impact on others' lives. We are constantly inspired as we witness how God works through our organization to uplift and empower each other.
