Idea Navigator
Idea Navigators work with aspiring entrepreneurs that are new to RMMFI to help them create a high-level vision for their business and assess business feasibility and personal stability.

Time commitment: 1.5 hours/month

Business Idea Lab Coach
The Business Idea Lab is a short 4-week program designed to help aspiring entrepreneurs explore their vision, plan and refine their idea, and learn foundational principles. Idea Lab coaches guide group facilitation and exploration during the class sessions.

Time commitment: 2 hours/week for 4 weeks

Business Launch Boot Camp Mentor
Boot Camp Mentors support entrepreneurs through RMMFI’s 12-week Launch program by providing real-world business knowledge (business coaches), financial understanding (financial coaches), and support to stay on track (accountability coaches).

Time commitment: 1-4 hours/week for 12 weeks

Thrive Mentor
Thrive mentors are matched 1:1 with a graduate of our Business Launch Boot Camp to help them move past normal business hurdles and grow their business. Mentors are paired based on the entrepreneurs’ specific area of need.

Time commitment: 1-4 hours/month

Thrive Business Accelerator Mentor
TBA mentors support Boot Camp graduates through a 10-week program geared towards continued learning and long-term, sustainable business growth. Mentors will assist entrepreneurs with applying class material to their businesses and staying on track with their individualized Capstone Projects.

Time commitment: 1-4 hours/week for 10 weeks

Description

RMMFI doesn’t just invest in businesses; we invest in people, and we do it with more than dollars. We view entrepreneurship as a system of people, businesses, and community, and our holistic approach brings these elements together to allow individuals to tap into the social and economic benefits of business ownership. Our goal is to help entrepreneurs grow into business owners who can successfully shift and adapt to changing environments in their businesses and their lives. We know that personal foundations are essential for success, and RMMFI works with entrepreneurs to develop their personal stability, entrepreneurial spark, and business feasibility.

In 16 years, RMMFI is proud to have:

  • Graduated 74 cohorts of Business Launch Boot Camp with an 85% graduation rate, resulting in the launch or expansion of 597 businesses across Colorado
  • Distributed $1,464,529 in 446 loans to low-income entrepreneurs with a 94% repayment rate plus $593,000 in grants
  • Become a certified Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) with the U.S. Treasury
  • Been appointed to the Colorado Office of Financial Empowerment Advisory Council
  • Won the 2024 Collaboration Catalyst Award from Good Business Colorado
  • Received the 2023 Neighborhood Builders Award from Bank of America
