Are you passionate about history and LGBTQ+ rights? Do you love exploring the city on foot and sharing your knowledge with others?

We are seeking a volunteer to lead HI NYC guests on a walking tour of Greenwich Village, stopping near The Stonewall Inn, a historic site of the LGBTQ+ rights movement. As the tour leader, you will guide visitors through the streets of Greenwich Village, pointing out significant landmarks and sharing stories about the neighborhood's rich cultural history.

Your main focus will be on The Stonewall Inn, which played a pivotal role in the Stonewall riots of 1969, a series of protests that marked a turning point in the fight for LGBTQ+ rights. The ideal volunteer will share the story of the riots and the people who led them, as well as the ongoing struggle for LGBTQ+ equality.

This volunteer opportunity is perfect for anyone who loves history, enjoys public speaking, and is passionate about LGBTQ+ rights. Training will be provided, and you will have the opportunity to work with a supportive team of volunteers who share your passion.
