Do you enjoy driving? Would you like to help homeless dogs get adopted? We'd like to put you in the driver's seat of our Adoption Event Van to transport dogs from our Rescue Care Center in Falls Church, VA to adoption events on Saturdays and Sundays. Drivers need to be able to devote 4-5 hours on the day of the event to assist with loading the dogs, driving to the event, staying on site, then driving back. Scheduling is flexible; you can sign up as often for shifts as you would like, or just once a month.

We provide an orientation session to familiarize you with our Care Center and with the vans.

Minimum age requirement is 21 for this role, with valid driver's license and clear driving record.

Please email volunteer@lostdogrescue.org for more information. Thank you!

Mission Statement

The Lost Dog & Cat Rescue Foundation (LDCRF), a 501 c (3) non-profit organization, is a highly dedicated group of volunteers that rescues abandoned or displaced dogs and cats from the threat of euthanasia by area shelters or other at-risk situations. Once in our care, these companion animals are fully vaccinated and spayed or neutered. Since its founding in 2001, over 45,000 animals' lives have been saved by finding them loving homes.
