4-H Wagon Train is seeking caring adult volunteers (ages 19 and up) to lead during upcoming 4-H Wagon Train Camps. Adult volunteers provide supervision while hiking and safety around the horses, mules, wagons, and carriages. Volunteers will be asked to assist with the duties of the Wagon Train including: clearing trails, removing invasive plants, packing gear, preparing food, cleaning camp, feeding animals, and teaching workshops such as western crafts, country dancing, wilderness survival, emergency preparedness, and more. Youth ages 9-18 are allowed to participate in these camps, and many register with their own parents or family members. The first camps are weekend family camps, preparing for the weeklong trek in the summer.
