Chapter Admin Support

At San Francisco SCORE, our mentors come from every possible background with the single unifying factor that we all have had successful careers in the business community and are willing to help mentor, for free, entrepreneurs and business owners especially from underserved communities.

Looking for charisma here: Do you enjoy providing a 2-minute persuasive pitch to about 10 people in an interactive small business workshop on Zoom...regularly? SF SCORE offers successful Zoom workshops that help small businesses with various topics. Because we limit the audience size and do a Zoom meeting instead of a webinar, most of our workshops are really interactive. BUT...we are not doing a great job of telling the attendees that they could, forever for free, have a San Francisco business coach/mentor assigned to them personally. We need a charismatic, energetic advocate to start the workshop by introducing SCORE and the speaker and then closing the workshop 55 minutes later with great news about our Qualified Coaches/Mentors. If you are willing to introduce at least four workshops a month, we want you! If you have any thoughts about going into business for yourself (or if you already are in business), a side benefit is that you can attend the workshops you select for free as well. If you are interested, contact Susan.Lundy@ScoreVolunteer.org

SCORE is a nonprofit resource partner of the U.S. Small Business Administration and is the largest volunteer organization in the US that helps aspiring and existing entrepreneurs succeed. Our main activity is providing free mentoring services and low cost workshops. Volunteering is a way for you to give back and share your knowledge.

If you would like to help local aspiring entrepreneurs from across the demographic spectrum of your community, please contact us to volunteer. We may be reached at admin@sfscore.org, or you may contact us here via Volunteer Match.

Thank you for your support!!
