We're looking for caring and compassionate individuals to visit our hospice patients on a weekly basis - typically about one hour each week. Volunteers will serve as a friend to the patient and allow caregivers a break to engage in their own selfcare needs. Not all hospice patients have family or friends, so aside from nurses and aides, volunteers are often their only source of friendship and love.
We have patients in Davis, Salt Lake, Utah, and Weber counties - in both private residences and nursing facilities. Volunteers who are willing to travel or live within these counties are invited to apply.
