**This is not a one-day event**

This is an ongoing volunteer opportunity that is flexible- we work with your schedule.

We will be working together to provide support and assistance to refugees who have recently arrived in our community. This is a great opportunity to make a difference and help those who are in need of our help. Volunteers can assist by:

- Driving refugees to local grocery stores and appointments

- Teaching basic English classes (no experience necessary)

- Organizing donations at our Donation Center

- Mentoring refugee youth & young adults

- Hosting a Workshop for refugee youth

- Assist refugees in accesing Employment opportunities

We are committed to resettling refugees in central and southern NJ, assisting asylum seekers, and supporting local faith and civic groups as they advocate for and work with refugees in their own communities. Interfaith-RISE assists with housing, ESL, social services, education, medical assistance, mental health services, transportation, and supportive community integration as families and individuals journey towards self-sufficiency and independence. Interfaith-RISE is a program of the Reformed Church of Highland Park Affordable Housing Corporation, a non-profit organization that provides supportive housing and social services to low-income individuals and families.
