ORGANIZATION: NEW LEASH ON LIFE USA

We are looking for a volunteer with dog training and/or dog behavior experience. Preference is given to certified dog trainers and animal behaviorists, but any and all knowledge/experience in dog training/behavior is appreciated. When volunteering with New Leash on Life USA, volunteering is what you make of it. There is no minimum commitment requirement. If you would like to consistently volunteer on a weekly or semi-weekly basis we can coordinate a schedule with you.

Responsibilities:

  • Attend or assist with Dog Training workshops in the prisons or in our office in Philadelphia
  • Attend or assist with evaluating dogs at the shelter to be selected for our program
  • Observe or assist with meets between our adoptable dogs, adopters, and their existing pets
