The Amphibian Foundation is seeking a volunteer to work directly with the Facilities Manager at the Amphibian Foundation, and help ensure the proper functioning of life-systems and captive management systems at our facility in Buckhead.
The world-class amphibian and reptile housing facilities are unique, and most operations have been custom-built by the Facilities Manager. With over 700 animals on site, there is a lot of upkeep and this volunteer role would work directly with the Facilities Manager to make sure everything is in perfect working order.
We provide all the training necessary , and our volunteers work with us on the front line of conservation, research, and educational projects caring for exciting, rare, and endangered species.
Tues mornings from 9:30 - 12 pm.
Must be able to lift 40# on occasion, and navigate stairs. Basic understanding of tools and safety are preferred.
No previous experience is necessary as we fully train all volunteers in husbandry and biosecurity.
Due to COVID-19 guidance and restrictions, we work following all suggested CDC guidance for the health of the staff, volunteers, and animals. You are encouraged to apply as soon as possible.
