Volunteer with us:
We are thrilled that you are considering joining our passionate and hardworking network of volunteers who help make New Hope’s work possible! Every day, New Hope relies heavily upon the generosity of members of our community. We can’t do this work without people like you, and we are so grateful for your desire to give back!
Here are some ways you can get involved:
Outreach + Education
Outreach and education around SDV is an essential tool in ending violence and exploitation in our communities. Collaborate with our Outreach team to educate and raise awareness for New Hope and topics related to SDV prevention. Participate in tabling events in schools and communities within our service area, and develop and deliver presentations on relevant topics, such as healthy relationships and recognizing signs of abuse.
Social Media
Social Media plays a large role in New Hope’s outreach goals. The more folks that are aware of New Hope and our services, the more we can assist! Follow New Hope (@newhopeinc) on all social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter), share our posts, and work with our Development Specialist to create new, engaging content. Experience creating TikTok content a plus! (But not required!)
Donations + Admin
Help to manage our donations by organizing, taking inventory, and sorting donated goods as well as maintaining our donation spaces. Assist in other office tasks, such as data entry, assembling care kits for clients, and tracking our promotional items.
Legislative Advocacy
Take action against domestic and sexual violence by advocating for federal and state policy change that supports survivors and contributes to violence prevention. Stay up-to-date on relevant legislation, contact your representatives, and, if you want to go a step further, organize lobbying and advocacy events.
Events + Projects
Volunteers are needed throughout the year to assist with the planning and running of our several yearly fundraising and awareness events and one-time projects. We also rely on volunteers to help us promote different fundraising and awareness campaigns throughout the year.
Group Volunteering/Day of Service
If your group or organization is interested in volunteering for New Hope as a team or for a Day of Service, please reach out to the Volunteer Coordinator at volunteers@new-hope.org.
Other opportunities will be made available as they arise!
