About MUSIC CONSERVATORY OF COEUR D ALENE INC

Location:

627 N GOVERNMENT WAY, COEUR D ALENE, ID 83814, US

Mission Statement

Our mission is to nurture the pursuit of musical excellence through accessible instruction, collaborative partnerships and performance.

Description

The Music Conservatory of Coeur d’Alene (MCCDA) will serve the mission by creating an infrastructure of teachers, classes, performers and events. Classes are offered for piano, all strings, some winds, and youth choir. Students can begin in preschool, leading into the early childhood exploration with private lessons, and evolving into ensemble experiences with middle and high school students help develop participants talents and abilities. College students can help teach and inspire the classes, along with teachers from both CdA and Sandpoint conservatories and the local college. The conservatory hosts professional and exemplary performing artists; and master classes with visiting artists bring teachers from outreaching areas.

The Music Conservatory of Coeur d’Alene is located in the historic Hamilton House at 627 Government Way, in the heart of the city. The historic Hamilton House was built in 1908 for the 2 nd Mayor of Coeur d’Alene, Boyd Hamilton and his wife, Alta, the daughter of Spokane empire builder J.J. Browne.
