Join the effort to end Veteran homelessness. VA is committed to ending homelessness among Veterans and in doing so are looking for customer service driven Volunteers to assist at Minneapolis' Community Resource & Referral Center (CRRC). Volunteers in this role will assist in welcoming new Veterans to CRRC, orient to shower and laundry facilities, access donated goods, put together and hand out daily lunch bags, organizing and maintaining food panty, assist with holiday donations and gift giving among various other organizational projects. Ideal Volunteers enjoy talking with Veterans, have excellent customer service and organizational skills, can work independently and maintain ongoing professionalism.
Volunteers are asked to commit to a 4 hour shift, once a week. Openings are available 8:00am to noon and 10:00am to 2:00pm, Monday through Friday.
