At Keshet, baseball is for everyone! Volunteers partner with players who have intellectual, developmental or physical disabilities for a non-competitive game of baseball. As a volunteer, you support players as needed by showing where the ball should be thrown, assisting them getting to the bases, cheering them on or just having fun!
The best volunteers for Keshet Baseball are people who are friendly, patient, enjoy being outdoors and ready to have fun.

Mission Statement
Creating a community of belonging where people of all abilities learn, play, work, live and grow together.
Description
Keshet is a leader in inclusion, and one of the only organizations in the US where children with disabilities can begin programs at age three and continue to receive support through adulthood. Keshet brings classroom experiences, camps, sports, social and vocational activities, and residential opportunities to 600 people with disabilities each year. We offer 75 programs in the Chicago area and Wisconsin supported by nearly 200 dedicated staff and lay leaders, dozens of community and corporate partners, and thousands of engaged donors around the world. Keshet ensures that children and adults have the opportunity to experience the iconic activities that define our growth and development--graduating from kindergarten, finding a best friend, playing on a sports team, going to camp, having a meaningful job, getting a first apartment, and so much more. Keshet is committed to providing these opportunities at all costs, and to the greatest extent possible, within inclusive programs with neurotypical peers. With the support of our community, Keshet will succeed and grow well into the future. Nurtured by respect, creativity, tenacity and unconditional love, Keshet makes a powerful difference in the lives of each child and adult with disabilities, their families, the community and beyond.
