As a trusted advisor, this HR Director serves on the organization's Executive Committee as a consultant to our organization's leadership on human resources-related issues and acts in a leadership capacity to build talent within the organization.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
*Communicate with organization's leadership to develop a strategy to enhance work environment through implementation of HR programs
*Sit as President on the Personnel Committee
*Develop and host Personnel Committee meetings to discuss recent work place incidents, changes to employee benefits, training programs, and/or hiring
*Manage and develop HR Department budget
*Assist Chief Development Officer in HR grant development
*Coordinate with management to ensure compliance with HR laws and regulations
*Ensure HR Department maintains the right policies and procedures for employee/volunteer well-being
*Manage and create new HR programs for implementation across all departments
*Identify, evaluate, and solve hiring and volunteer retention challenges
*Recruit top talent to staff directors positions
*Interview potential candidates and make recommendations for job/volunteer positions
*Assist staff directors in overseeing performance reviews
*Investigate employee/volunteer complaints
*Mediate and suggest solutions to employee/volunteer disputes
*Compile information about compensation and benefits packages based on market data
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:
*Experience in Human Resources in supporting senior leaders
*Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or Nonprofit Organizational Management
*Significant knowledge of HR policies and processes (e.g., performance management, employee relations, workforce planning, volunteerism, etc.)
*Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to analyze data, understand trends, develop recommendations for action based analysis
*Exceptional at influencing through strong relationships expertise and data to drive change
*Ability to manage a complex set of stakeholders in different states, remote locations as well as in a corporate office sitting
*Strong communication skills
*Effectively manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
*Excellent enterprise networking and communication skills
*Demonstrate success in creating an environment of trust with clients and peers
*Ability to travel

The United Black Family Scholarship Foundation is a 501c3, nonprofit organization that operates in Oklahoma, California, and New York. Established in 2014, it is a student and volunteer ran organization that was founded by incarcerated activist and author Ivan Kilgore. Our Vision: We believe everyone has a right to education that empowers them with solutions to social and economic problems caused by poverty and racism.
