Being a hospice volunteer is one of the most rewarding experiences a person can have for both the patient and the volunteer. This role is important for the patients because you are giving your time, a very important and limited thing to share with someone. That alone makes being a volunteer so special. The volunteer is one of the most important roles in a hospice agency.
These roles can vary depending on the need and wants of the patients and their families.
Examples: listening, conversation, companionship, reading, light housekeeping, light meal prep, respite for the caregiver, bereavement, errands, crafts, etc. There are so many ways you can be there for our patients. There are also ways to help in the agency itself, such as helping with events at the office or out in the community.
Come join our team today to make a difference in someone's life!
