ORGANIZATION: Golden Gate Bird Alliance (formerly Golden Gate Audubon Society)

Volunteers at Pier 94
Habitat restoration at Pier 94

Help clean shoreline of trash and materials dangerous to birds and other wildlife! We will be removing pieces of fishing line and nets, things that birds or chicks might get stuck in or entangled by, and items that might look attractive to birds but could be detrimental to their needs.

Wear sturdy shoes, dress for the elements, and bring water and hat/sunscreen as needed.

If you have work/sturdy garden gloves, trash tongs and 5 gallon bucket or sturdy large plastic bag, please bring. We will have a supply of these items for those who can’t bring all needed items.

This work is very important to support birds and other wildlife that make the Bay Area their home or who migrate through it.

Our sign-in table will be at located at the junction of Meeker Slough and the Bay Trail ( https://goo.gl/maps/dpz7FJUnZ ApMrPtq7). Please bring gloves, trash pickers, buckets and bags if you have them. We’ll have bags and additional supplies, if you don’t.

Parking: You can park in Bayside Dr court off Marina Bay Parkway; there are 10 slots at the cul-de-sac but you can park along the street there; it’s safe and close. Or park at 2700 Rydin Rd and walk in-see map below.

If you have questions, contact Cathy Bleier at cbeier@goldengatebirds.org or 510-414-5719.
