Program Overview: Home Delivery is designed for our neighbors primarily in the Phillips area who are low income and unable to physically visit the food market at CES. Food is delivered free of charge, once a month. The food is hand selected based on the neighbor’s needs and consists of canned and boxed non-perishables, produce, meat, eggs and milk when available. In this collaborative program, CES offers neighbors the food, and the volunteer power to "shop" for our neighbors in the food pantry. The SoS Program provides additional support to isolated seniors and establishes an increased level of engagement with our neighbors, the surrounding community and for volunteers.
Primary Responsibilities: (detailed tasks provided during training)
- Provide a monthly tele-check phone call to one or two clients

Mission Statement
Community Emergency Service transforms lives by serving neighbors, sharing resources and becoming community - a place where people come hungry and leave hopeful.
Description
Community Emergency Service is a multi-service non-profit organization that runs a number of food based assistance programs for Minneapolis residents. Our main programs include: Food Shelf, Meals on Wheels, Home Delivery, Bonus Friday Distribution, and East African Food Distribution.
CES is located within one of the most diverse, densely populated neighborhoods in Minneapolis; over 20,000 people live within its boundaries. 46% of families living in the Phillips neighborhood are below the federal poverty level.
At CES, we strive to serve all our neighbors in need without distinction or test. We invite support from volunteers and donors and are open to collaboration with other agencies, regardless of religious affiliation.
Will you help us move people from hunger to hope?
