Affordable Homes & Communities, an affordable housing developer, has a Girls on the Run program for girls in 6th - 8th grade. We're looking for an ASSISTANT coach to help the head coach. High school students are eligible to volunteer.
Girls on the Run coaches are trained volunteers who lead a team of participants through a season of powerful and fun lessons. You do not need to be a runner; you simply need to have a desire to support and encourage the next generation. Coaches receive all the tools and support they need and find that they get as much out of coaching as they give.
The program will run from Sept 23 - Nov 25 and take place on Tuesdays from 4-6pm.
- Fill out the new coach application and complete GOTR background check.
- Complete coach training. This includes about a 1.5-hour online module and in-person training.
- CPR Certified (GOTR offers training, but availability runs out quickly. Can reimburse up to $40 on CPR training).
For more information, please email volunteer@ahcinc.org.
