ORGANIZATION: EASEL Animal Rescue League of Mercer County

Help Homeless Kitties!

Are you an animal lover and a people person? Do you have experience caring for kittens? Please help us place homeless kitties in foster homes!

In this position you will:

  • On-board New Foster Volunteers:
    • Review volunteer applications
    • Interview applicants
    • Provide new fosters with training materials
    • Set up volunteers to start fostering
    • Match new fosters with a foster mentor

  • Support Current Foster Volunteers:
    • Match new kitties with fosters, taking into consideration volunteer availability and the special needs of the animals
    • Reach out to volunteers at the start of new foster assignments
    • Help manage the ongoing relationship between foster volunteers and the shelter by responding to questions and providing support when needed

To reduce the number of homeless, abandoned and abused animals euthanized in Mercer County, through the power of collaborative coalitions and community alliances.

Description

EASEL is an ALL volunteer rescue group. Our goal is to build a state-of-the-art community no-kill animal center to adopt, rescue, and sterilize as many animals in the greater Mercer County area as possible. Our current programs foster abandoned animals, conduct adoptions in and around Mercer County, and run a TNR program to reduce the feral cat population.
