To create a welcoming environment for our Spanish speaking families, The Open Door food shelf is looking to add bilingual Spanish speaking volunteers to our client support team.
The primary duties for a Client Support Volunteer are to:
- Connect clients to all services by answering questions over the phone or in person
- Make and retrieve phone calls
- Assist families in selecting their groceries
- Translate written communication from English to Spanish
Shifts are onsite at The Open Door's new building in Eagan-3000 Ames Crossing Rd, Eagan. We can work with your schedule for the shifts, but our biggest need is Tuesday/Thursday evenings from 4:30-6:30pm.

Description
The Open Door is a hunger relief organization dedicated to ending local hunger through access to healthy food. Through its collective programs, The Open Door serves more than 15,000 Dakota County residents each month, and distributes nearly 2 million pounds of food annually, 70% of which is fresh and/or perishable. Clients are able to access healthy food choices through a fixed-site food pantry in Eagan, multiple Mobile Pantry sites, the Mobile Lunch Box, and the Garden To Table program.
