We are looking for Therapy Animals to visit us at our Adult day care facility for people with dementia. We serve approx 60 persons a day.
- For pets you must be a certified through any Pet Therapy Program & up to dates with vaccines. Proof of certfications and vaccines are required.
- For pet owners we require a recent negative TB test within the past 6 months & covid vaccines 1,2 + booster.

Hearts & Minds Activity Center is dedicated to enriching the lives of individuals affected by Alzheimer’s disease and related conditions by providing safe, nurturing activities, intergenerational services, and a rich network of support.
Description
Founded in 1984, Hearts & Minds Activity Center emerged as the first large capacity dementia-specific adult day program in the country. Since its inception, Hearts & Minds has provided services to over 6,000 individuals living with dementia and their families. Our adult day program offers the following:
Over 60 weekly hours of caregiver relief
Daily intergenerational activities
Variety of activities tailored to individual’s impairment level
Active peer and multigenerational socialization
Secure outdoor space designed for individuals with dementia
Shower, podiatry, and haircut services
Ongoing community education and support
Respite services offered six days per week, Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
