MISSION

At Girls on the Run Los Angeles (GOTRLA), we envision a world where every girl knows and activates her limitless potential and is free to boldly pursue her dreams. We inspire girls in 3rd-8th grade to be joyful, healthy, and confident through a fun, experience-based curriculum that creatively integrates running.

Activity Description

YOU can join our team of Coaches/Mentors in a transformational program for girls in 3rd-8th grade. During these challenging times, they need you now more than ever!

Coaching

Join one of our IN-PERSON teams in LA County this Fall, from late September to early December. It takes just two afternoons per week (weekday afternoons/after school hours) to help build a lifetime of healthy habits.

Encourage and empower our participants to believe there are no limits to what a girl with confidence can achieve. Have fun while serving as a role model for program participants!

VOLUNTEER ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

We have Head Coach, Assistant Coach, and Substitute roles available. Your responsibilities include:

  • Getting to know and understand your co-coaches to better serve your team.

  • Reviewing, preparing, and supervising weekly lessons (curriculum provided by Girls on the Run).

  • Collaborating with other coaches for successful lesson delivery.

REQUIREMENTS

  • You must be at least 18 years of age.

  • Complete a GOTRLA Coach application and background check.

  • Attend and finish Coach Training.
