18 Reasons is a non-profit cooking school that offers free cooking, budgeting, and nutrition classes to low-income Bay Area communities through our Cooking Matters program. Volunteers are part of a team that teach a full six week series as either a volunteer chef, nutritionist, or class assistant. The only requirements are an interest in healthy eating & cooking, a willingness to learn, and a positive attitude. You can read more about volunteering on our webpage, here.
We are seeking volunteers to join our Cooking Matters teaching team as volunteer cooking educators, nutrition educators, or class assistants! There is no professional experience required to volunteer, just an interest in healthy eating & cooking, a willingness to learn, and a positive attitude.
We have volunteer opportunities in SF, Contra Costa, and Alameda counties.
