Suite Living Hospice Care is providing hospice within our assisted living facilities located
throughout the Twin Cities. Looking for volunteers currently in the NW metro, south and southwest metro area. At this time we are serving hospice patients in our Suite Living Assisted Living facilities. We are in the process of recruiting compassionate volunteers
to provide support and companionship to our hospice patients.
Hospice volunteers are a valuable part of the hospice team. The role is meaningful to the
patients, families and team members, but also to you as the volunteer. Volunteers’
complete patient care training to assist you in providing quality care. Volunteer schedules
are flexible and allow you to choose the days and times you are available.
Some of the many ways you can volunteer are:
* Sharing your pet through pet therapy visits
* Companionship Visits
* Reading or writing letters or cards
* Sharing your musical talents
* Engaging in activities with our patients such as crafts or games
* Honoring our veterans on hospice with a special ceremony
* Providing 11th hour presence at the end of life for those that may not have
family nearby
* Donation of time through sewing of blankets, prayer shawls, quilts

Description
Suite Living Assisted and Memory Care have communities located throughout the Twin Cities area. Since the first community arrived in 2007 the goal has been to create a home-like atmosphere setting tailored to residents with memory care needs and providing a higher quality of life than offered in more institutional settings. Having developed strong relationships with their residents and seeing the abundant need for quality hospice services the leadership team furthered their commitment to the residents and developed Suite Living Hospice Care. It is critical to Suite Living to support our residents at the end of life. By expanding services into hospice our residents and family can experience continuity of care, increased communication, reduced stress and compassion from a team that understands them best.
