Are you passionate about putting an end to Alzheimer's and other dementias? Do you want to get more involved with the Alzheimer's Association and the Walk to End Alzheimer's? Then we need you! Join the planning committee for the Walk to End Alzheimer's - Lake County and help grow the movement to end Alzheimer's from the ground up. Our event occurs each fall in Libertyville, IL and needs a number of types of skills and talents to make the event a success!

Committee members play a key role in the success of the Walk to End Alzheimer's event with responsibilities such as getting local companies involved, helping recruit participants and teams, and planning the logistics of event-day. Please note our committee members are required to form a team and actively fundraise throughout the year.

Examples of roles available:
1. Community Engagement - actively work in the community to find businesses to sponsor and form company teams. Also responsible for planning 1-2 events throughout the year for our business community (ie networking events).
2. Event Planning - timed to be more intensive starting in the summer, this is our logistics team -- planning the day of event from top to bottom. Includes asking local vendors to donate goods and services.
3. Behind the scenes - own a group of registered teams, serve as their point of contact, and communicate throughout the year via phone calls, emails, and letter writing.
4. In-Kind Donations - be the lead on canvasing our communities for businesses to donate goods and services for use throughout the year.
5. Volunteer at large - be on standby for needs throughout the year with no specific commitment of time (this is not a formal committee role)
