We are looking for patient Volunteering in patients residence

Volunteering includes:
- Provide patient socialization
- Light Caregiver Respite

Opportunity Offers:

We are looking for individuals:
- That feel comfortable sitting/socializing with terminally ill patients
- Are looking to gain a meaningful experience
- Can work with an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals
- Bilingual (Not required)

• Observant of the patient’s pain and symptoms.
• Assists the patient with the emotional and psychosocial and spiritual aspects of dying.
• Provides needed drugs, medical supplies, and equipment.
• Offers conversation, storytelling, reminiscing, and arts and crafts activities.
• Provides bereavement care and counseling to surviving family and friends.
• Delivers special services like speech and physical therapy when needed.
• Makes short-term inpatient care available when pain or symptoms become too difficult to manage at home, or the caregiver needs respite time.
• Very light custodial care and meal prep.
• Provides companionship, support, and care.
• Continuous care
• Respite care
