chat over tea

What better way to spend your day then playing games with someone in need?
We have many patients who are seeking volunteers to visit them, share stories, and laugh with but we also have a patient who loves card games and would love to have a volunteer to visit and play!
If you are interested in volunteering, reach out so we can talk about what our volunteers do, how to get started, and how this might just be the perfect fit for you!

About Hospice Care of VNA (Visiting Nurse Association)

Location:

1300 East 104th Street, Ste 300, Kansas City, MO 64131, US

Mission Statement

The Visiting Nurse Association (VNA) is a non-profit serving individual in the Kansas City area. Our mission has remained the same since its inception in 1891 - providing quality home health and hospice care to individuals regardless of ability to pay. As a division of VNA, Hospice Care of VNA is dedicated to ensuring comfort, dignity, and quality of life for all our patients wherever they call home.

Description

Established in 1891, Visiting Nurse Association is the home of the oldest home health care agency (VNA Home Health) in the Kansas City area and the sixth oldest in the United States. Over the years, VNA has expanded the services provided and areas of services to reach more people. Hospice Care of VNA was reintroduced to the community in 2020. Our long-lasting legacy comes from our belief that people not only need someone to care for them, they also need someone to care about them. That is what we do at VNA and our patients say it is one of the many things that set us apart.
