Mission Statement

To ensure that every girl can receive quality education and achieve their dreams, provide them with the essentials for safe periods and raise awareness of their sexual and reproductive health.

Description

Our organization strives to empower primary and secondary school girls living in rural areas to reach their dreams. By ensuring they have access to quality education, are aware of their sexual and reproductive health, and are familiar with the essentials for safe periods. We are conducting mentorship programs that encourage girls to study hard and reach their dreams, but we also provide support materials like sanitary pads and school materials to these girls.
We officially registered as a nonprofit organization in Tanzania this year. We have started a project titled, "Build Her Confidence," to boost rural secondary school girls' self-esteem by providing them with sanitary pads. During the project, 778 secondary school girls in the Singida region, Tanzania were educated on menstrual health and sexual and reproductive health. Furthermore, the girls were provided with sanitary pads, and some boxes of pads were given to their teachers as a reserve in case of an emergency. Also, Girls' Clubs were formed which served as platforms for girls to discuss their issues, study together, encourage one another and fight against gender-based violence together. Currently, we are looking for volunteers to work on website development and graphic design.
