Adult Volunteers needed in the following areas:

  • Education - Our education team utilizes volunteers in a number of ways throughout multiple programs. Volunteers may take on responsibilities such as greeting school field trips, classroom assistants for formal programs, tour assistants and instructor assistants for informal learning activities.
  • Greeter - Enthusiastic and friendly volunteers are needed to greet guests, encourage download of app, and answer questions at the front entrance of Space Center Houston.
  • Events and Public Programs - Many of our most popular events are Public Programs, including Breakfast with an Astronaut and Astronaut Days. Volunteers will interact with the public at many of these events, guide them to the event location, and answer questions.
  • Advanced Volunteer Opportunities - Guides (Exhibit Areas) - Interpretive volunteer guides engage guests at exhibits, educating them on the past, present and future of the manned space program.
