Volunteer at the Food Shelf! Whether you want to help stock shelves, check people in, or drive to pick up food in our food rescue program, we welcome all to come! Bring a group, or come alone. We need help Mon-Fri and you can volunteer one time, or every day - opportunities for as often as you are open. Some of our volunteers do the following:

  • Client Services: Basic computer and phone skills to set up appointments for clients. Daily (Monday -Friday) shifts available from 9:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.

  • Retail Rescue Pickup: Volunteers needed to pick up donations from various retail establishments. Requires a current licensed driver, and /or helper in company vans or personal vehicles for approximately 1-2 hours per given pickup. Must be able to carry and or lift boxes.

  • Accepting, Sorting and Stocking Food Donations: 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. daily.

1 Shift

  • 10:00 AM to 01:00 PM CST
    Drivers start by 7am

Since 1979, the North St. Paul Area Food Shelf has been dedicated to helping families in need of food. The Food Shelf is a volunteer-run, non-profit 501c3 organization.
