A hospice volunteer is an individual trained by Brighton Hospice to provide assistance to patients, their families, and their hospice team. No prior medical experience is required.

Brighton Hospice is seeking volunteers to provide companionship to our hospice patients. Join us in bringing comfort and peace to those facing end of life. Become a regular visitor and a supportive companion to a patient and help make their days brighter. Activities may include playing games, watching TV or movies, listening to music, converse, or just lend an ear as they share stories from their life.

Our patients are located throughout the Denver metro area, including Parker at various care communities and in private homes. We will match and introduce you to a patient in your area.

Our onboarding process includes comprehensive hospice education and training. We also require a background check, drug screening, and tuberculosis test.

Consider joining our team of compassionate volunteers making a difference in brightening the lives of our patients! Learn more at brightonhospice.com or call our Brighton Hospice Denver office at 720-536-5060. Mission Statement

Our mission at Brighton Hospice is to provide the best physical, emotional, and spiritual care for our patients and their families. We achieve our mission by hiring the most compassionate and skilled people in the industry who deliver clinical expertise and exceed our patient's expectations. We cultivate an environment where our team members are valued, respected, and provided personal and professional growth opportunities. Our leaders focus on supporting the clinical team so they can concentrate on patient care. We are always guided by our commitment to excellence.

Description

Brighton Hospice was founded in 2012 in Salt Lake City, Utah by our two owners, Erin Bennett and Thomas Godfrey, who were both involved in the world of home health and hospice. They had experience working for amazing companies, as well as for companies that were lacking. When they decided to start Brighton Hospice, their experiences at both ends of the spectrum played a huge role in forming the company. They joined forces to bridge the gap and set out to provide the highest quality of care in the industry. Brighton’s mission statement, developed prior to the company’s creation, served as their road map from day one. We are always guided by our commitment to excellence and our goal is simple: we are dedicated to providing outstanding customer service. The culture at Brighton helps us accomplish that by ensuring that staff feel happy and appreciated, which is then reflected in the care they provide. Additionally, the Brighton philosophy of care is to keep the caseloads way lower than most other hospices in order to prevent healthcare burnout. This allows the care team the time they need provide the best care to patients, which is one of the main reasons for our exemplary reputation in the industry. Lastly, we are proud of our Brighton Blessings program which exemplifies our commitment to going above and beyond for those facing life limiting illnesses.
