ORGANIZATION: Move For Hunger

Move For Hunger

Move For Hunger is a national nonprofit organization that mobilizes transportation networks to deliver surplus food to communities in need. Our network has provided over 41.4 million meals to people who are facing hunger. We've also helped to transport 49.7 million lbs of food to food banks in the United States and Canada!

Come assemble food drive kits and fight food insecurity with us!

  • Monday, Wednesday, Friday office hours: 9:30am to 4pm
  • Tuesday, Thursday office hours: 9:30am to 2pm

Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for the majority of your shift.

*If applying for a group, everyone should be 18+ unless volunteering for school purposes and approval*

  • morning / 09:30 AM to 11:30 AM EST - FULL
  • afternoon / 12:00 PM to 02:00 PM EST - FULL
  • 02:00 PM to 04:00 PM EST - Spots available: 2
    This shift is only available on Tuesdays and Thursdays. If you can do this shift on only one of these days, please let me know!

Move For Hunger, a 501(c) (3), is working to end hunger and food waste in America. Nearly 42 million Americans struggle with hunger while 35% of the food produced in this country goes to waste. By mobilizing moving companies, multifamily apartment communities, corporations, and volunteers, Move For Hunger has delivered more than 27 million pounds of food to food banks - providing 23 million meals for those in need.
