Volunteers are needed to help vulnerable families increase economic mobility by filing their income tax returns electronically. Become an IRS Certified Tax preparer and help prepare professional tax returns for your neighbors to ensure that they get to keep their hard-earned dollars!
Volunteer Income Tax Assistance ( VITA), a program powered by the United Way of Marion County, has helped the citizens of Marion County for over a decade at several locations throughout Marion County, ( Belleview, Marion Oaks, and Downtown Ocala. Last year thousands of families and individuals were served with this FREE tax preparation service.
Volunteers are needed as Tax Preparers, intake specialists and translators.
How is this service possible? Volunteers just like YOU make it happen by joining the VITA team! Just 10 hours per week from January - April. If you have a clean background check, basic computer skills and customer service skills this short term commitment is for you!
