On THIS day MONDAY 11/21/2022 - we will distribute Turkeys and Thanksgiving items to up to 1,000 households in our impoverished neighborhood. We have 3 shifts:
All Day 8:30a -5:45p - everything needed!
Morning with Set-up and starting the distribution 8:30 a-1:15p
Afternoon distribution, including "extras" and Clean-up 12:15 - 5:45 pm

CENTRAL: A small, energetic community working in English + bilingually to empower our neighbors in Van Nuys through love and grace to be who God has made them to be.
Our vision: We want to be people who accept and live in God's grace, who follow Jesus Christ, and who serve others.
January 1929 Central was a mission outreach & became a vital part of serving a wide range of needs through the depression and post-war Van Nuys. It flourished in the 50's-70's but lost its connection with mission, so dwindled.
NOW, for 15 years, hosted homeless services agencies & opened worship to marginalized folk, experiencing loneliness, disconnectedness, & personal trauma.
TODAY: Core of folks serve both persons experiencing poverty & hunger among the housed neighbors + persons experiencing homelessness.

* Women's Empowerment (w/childcare);
* Kids Community and Support
* Summer kids programs (camp onsite July 2020; Camp opportunities @ mountains late-July 2020)
* Faith & spiritual development-all ages
