ORGANIZATION: Hostelling International New York

Are you passionate about New York City? Do you like interacting with people from all over the world? Help travelers have incredible and organized travel experiences! We are looking for New Yorkers to work the Information Desk at HI USA's landmark location HI New York City. Info Desk Volunteers will work 3 hour shifts when we are most busy: during the morning and during check-in in the evening.

PURPOSE/DEFINITION and HI USA MISSION

HI USA is 501(c)(3) non-profit education association. Our purpose is to "inspire a deeper understanding of people places and cultures for a more tolerant world." As a non-profit, the revenues we receive through overnight stays and memberships is reinvested in mission delivery.

We bring travelers together in the largest hostel network in the USA, but that’s just the start: from local tours and experiences, to experiential learning programs, HI USA strives to bring moments of cultural understanding to our guests and community members. HI USA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, member-based organization that reinvests our surpluses back into our hostels and programs so they can have an even greater impact, year after year.
