The Heritage Farmstead Museum is excited to announce that we are now accepting Volunteers for the highly anticipated Lights on the Farm 2023. This is a unique opportunity for businesses and individuals to volunteer to support our local community and contribute to the success of this beloved annual event.
As a Volunteer Individual, Family or Organization, you will have a chance to connect with thousands of attendees from the surrounding areas. Lights on the Farm attracts families, friends, and visitors of all ages who come together to experience the magic of the holiday season. With dazzling light displays, festive activities, and delicious treats, this event creates lasting memories for everyone involved.

As a nonprofit organization, we rely on the generosity of our volunteers’ time to continue our mission of preserving and promoting the agricultural heritage of our community. Your volunteerism will directly contribute to the success of Lights on the Farm 2023.

The Heritage Farmstead Museum interprets farm life and agricultural history in the 1890s to see what life was like for the North Texas farmer.
Description
The Heritage Farmstead Museum, located in the heart of Plano, is the premier North Texas museum interpreting farm life and agricultural history. Step back in time to the 1890s to see what life was like for the North Texas farmer. We offer hundreds of school field trips and put on special events during the year. The museum is opened to the public Thursdays - Saturday, 10 am to 2 pm.
No prior experience is needed, and training is provided.

- Must be at least 16
- Volunteers may sign up for more than one shift. Shifts range from 2-6 hours, depending on date.
- Parent or guardian of volunteers under age 16 must be willing to work at the same job at the same time as the youth volunteer.
