Founded in 1998, Art Sphere Inc. (ASI) is a Philadelphia-based non-profit, established to teach the arts to youth living in underserved, low-income and inner-city communities.

Our mission is to engage the creative in communities, empower neighborhoods to explore the positives in peoples' lives, and heal the mind, body and spirit through the arts. Art Sphere Inc. nurtures the artist in all of us to be able to think beyond what is possible in our own lives and work collectively in a community that values diverse perspectives, knowledge and experience so we can share the best each of us has to offer.

Art Sphere Inc. is currently seeking musicians to perform either in-person during our youth programs or virtually through recordings. We are especially seeking musicians of color so the youth we work with can see themselves represented in the arts, but musicians of all races and ethnicities are welcome and encouraged to apply!

Performing Musician Responsibilities:

• Perform your instrument either in-person or remotely (can be synchronous or asynchronous)
• Plan and practice pieces to perform
• Talk about your instrument and how you became a musician to children

Requirements:

• Experience in playing a musical instrument
• Desire to perform for others
• Ability to volunteer either in-person or remotely
• Ability to manage self-guided work
• Access to technology and ability to meet virtually on occasion
