Aim/Goal:
Develop a think tank of BIPOC writers whose efforts would ultimately create real social change among the public and government decision-makers.
Ascendtials is looking for student volunteers of different ages and backgrounds to join the think tank. Student volunteers would meet online to discuss and write on social justice issues such as racism, poverty, women's rights, equal pay, and government representation. These articles would reach a wide range of audiences that would hopefully start to impact real change in structures and organizations toward more inclusion. At the same time, the writing process would serve as a source of healing for those involved and help foster a deeper connection with themselves.
About Ascendtials:
We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Southern California that focuses on empowering Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) through education and training programs.
Our organization hopes to raise greater awareness among the general public about society's issues and share insight into the tools needed to solve said issues.
Here at Ascendtials, we believe in the power and potential of youth, and grooming the next generation of leaders. We believe the efforts of your student volunteers would greatly benefit the community by writing for worthy social causes.
IMPORTANT NOTE: This is opportunity is available for PST, MST, CST and EST only
