Speakers of Japanese, Russian, Hungarian, Cantonese, Mandarin or Korean can visit individual residents or assist with group Life Enrichment programs pending where the need is. Flexible hours.
We do have a new resident who only speaks Japanese and is feeling isolated so we would love a dual language Japanese/English speaking volunteer to spend some time with her and engaging her in activities. Any two hour or more shift between 10am and 7pm.
We do require proof of updated vaccination status and you must attend a volunteer orientation and training.

Mission Statement
The San Francisco Campus for Jewish Living's Mission is to enrich the quality life of older adults.
Description
Since 1871, operated by a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation, we have served approximately 1,800 patients and residents each year in our Jewish Home & Rehab Center, located on the nine-acre San Francisco Campus for Jewish Living. Non-residential care is offered through our short-term and rehabilitation services unit for patients who require geriatric-specialized, interdisciplinary rehabilitation to recover from surgery or an acute illness, and through our acute geriatric psychiatry hospital. We are affiliated with the University of California, San Francisco for teaching and research. Admission is not limited by religious or cultural affiliation.
As a U.S. Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services five-star rated facility for care and with a complement of close to 650 compassionate, experienced clinical and allied health personnel, San Francisco Campus for Jewish Living provides seniors with a variety of life-enriching healthcare programs and services in a welcoming, stimulating environment.
We are part of Jewish Senior Living Group, a growing regional network of programs, services, and communities that enrich the lives of seniors. We serve people of all faiths, cultures and ethnicities.
