Together we have the opportunity to make the 2022-2023 Zane State College Reading is Fun Initiative a huge success! In 2019, the Zane State College Foundation, with community support, was able to provide children's books to 1,615 students in 3 counties, at 22 elementary schools, and in 77 kindergarten classrooms. This neighborhood literacy event lets us share the joy of reading with our local Kindergarten classes. Starting in November 2022, we will begin planning to bring this event back to our local community following the COVID-19 pandemic. Let us know if you would like to be a part of this event. With your help, we can make this year's event even bigger!

Mission Statement
The Foundation maintains a margin of excellence at the College by seeking resources for activities that will distinguish Zane State as a community college and as a resource to the members of our community both today and in the future.
Description
The Zane State College Foundation was established in April 1984 by the Board of Trustees as the Muskingum Area Technical College Foundation. A separate and distinct corporation of the College, the Foundation was created to support and enhance certain missions and goals of the College. The Foundation was recognized by the Secretary of State and the Attorney General during July 1984 and was later officially incorporated and granted charitable trust status by the Internal Revenue Service. Giving a gift to the Zane State College Foundation gives you a chance to change a life. To date, scholarships have been the most significant impact the Foundation has made at Zane State College. In the first award year, the Foundation awarded four student scholarships totaling $252. Now, over 3,500 scholarships have been awarded totaling over $4,000,000. All of this has been made possible through the generosity of our many gracious donors throughout the community. Thank you, for your continued commitment to our students.
