Are you interested in feeding your community? Pajaro Valley Loaves and Fishes operates a kitchen program in Watsonville every weekday of the year, serving a hot lunch to 120-150 each day. We also run a pantry program that feeds over 600 families a month with grocery assistance.
When volunteering in the kitchen, you can expect to chop vegetables, do simple cooking, and wash dishes. Those volunteering in the pantry will get to assemble bags, organize shelves, and help bag vegetables for our clients.
We are open Monday through Friday, 9-3pm all year. You can volunteer a few times or every day if you wish.
Plus, every volunteer will have a hot free lunch!

Description
Founded in 1989, Loaves and Fishes is a community-based organization dedicated to alleviating hunger among working low-income families, farmworkers, and elderly, disabled, and homeless individuals of the Pajaro Valley. We help sustain the lives of thousands of individuals by assisting them with nutritious food, education, and referrals in cooperation with other agencies. We envision a Pajaro Valley community in which all people have access to healthy food and the other necessities of life.
