Stray Cat Blues, Inc. a 501(3)(c) non profit cat rescue. Our Mission is to rescue stray and abandoned cats and kittens located in Montgomery, Bucks and other suburban Philadelphia counties and find them safe and appropriate homes. As an organization, we need help in many areas to be able to successfully fulfill our mission.

So what do we need help with exactly? Good question!

Work from Home Opportunities:

  • Marketing Team - Copywriters, Graphic Designers, those fluent in Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn.
  • Website Developers, Database Admins
  • Customer Care Team - Educate the community about all the amazing things we do.
  • Intake Coordinators - Guide and educate, help place cats with the rescue, and be a hero to community cats!

  • Fosters [Must be 21 years of age or older] - Fosters provide a loving home to rescued cats while we find them a forever home. We have cats for all skill levels. Supplies, support, and vet care and adoption assistance are provided. All you need is a small, quiet indoor space and a love for cats. Great for anyone who can provide hands-on help, especially during the summer kitten season!

  • Adoption Application processors - Help complete adoption applications by contacting applicants, personal references, and veterinarians.
  • Volunteer Application processors - Contact applicants, personal references.
  • Bookkeeping - General bank reconciliation. QuickBooks experience is a plus.
  • Merchandising - We are looking for analytical professionals who specialize in sourcing, managing and curating products and promotional materials. This includes overseeing the buying process and forecasting inventory demands and trends and negotiating with suppliers. This position is work from home but does require engagement with Events and some Event attendance.

Field Opportunities:
  • Events Team - This team requires front facing and behind the scenes volunteers. We have plenty of opportunities from educating the public on the work we do, selling merchandise, developing relationships to gather donations from local vendors, and more!
  • Cat Housekeeping and Feeding Team - Ensure cats' bellies are full and cages are clean. We have locations at PetSmart North Wales, PetSmart Collegeville and at our Whiskers Way Station. Great for anyone who loves cats!

  • Trap, Neuter, Release (TNR) - Help reduce the homeless cat populations humanely and proactively. Help is needed with placing humane traps, transporting to vet appointments for vaccines and sterilization, caring for cats during recovery, and/or releasing them back to their familiar outdoor homes.

  • Transport - Transport cats and kittens in their carriers or humane traps to/from vet appointments with our various vet partners. Typically scheduled for weekday mornings and evenings.

Please complete the application https://www.straycatblues.org/volunteer and someone will reach out to you as the first step towards working with an awesome team of volunteers.

We look forward to speaking with you soon!
